New superprecision Torrington bearings

The Torrington Co. introduced new superprecision bearing designs: the Fafnir THSS True High-Speed Sealed bearings and WearEver bearings.

The Fafnir THSS angular contact ball bearings are designed for high speed spindles. According to the company's press release, these bearings contain noncontact seals that minimize running torque for high speed operation. Seals retain grease inside the bearings.

The WearEver bearings feature a ceramic ball and an advanced steel to resist wear debris and hard contaminants for maximum service life.
