The new SKF bearing (UK) website, www.skf.co.uk, is now on-line

The new SKF bearing (UK) website, is now on-line and offers a fully searchable range of information on the company, its products and services and the industries in which it works. It also provides contact details for every division, SKF's industrial distributors and key individuals within the organisation.

Every month, there will be at least six different home pages.

Each time the site is visited, one of these home pages will be randomly selected to be displayed on-screen. Each home page carries a different feature, based on part of SKF's current advertising campaign, and contains links to the relevant information surrounding that feature. This might take the form of a press release or a link to website. Even if you are already visiting the site, every time you click on the home page link at the bottom of any page you will be taken to one of these randomly selected home pages.

There is a virtual press office which contains all SKF news stories dating back to 1997. This can be searched by date or keyword to easily locate information.

The press releases go on-line as soon as they are issued giving an instant outlet for information. Other features include details of the products manufactured by SKF, together with a literature request database and an on-line ordering system.

A similar provision is made for ordering customer training on the site, with full details provided on all of the courses available.

The site also includes an intuitive distributor map, which allows customers to find the most appropriate agent from which to obtain SKF products.

Extensive details are also available on SKF's associate companies such as Diagnostic Instruments, Ampep, Ovako Steel Ltd and Development Engineering International.

Important links on the site include one to endorsia.com, the SKF Interactive Engineering Catalogue, and another to SKF's Evolution on-line magazine. Also mentioned are the organisations which SKF sponsors, such as Ferrari and Luton Town Football Club.
