September 22, 2003 By: Mark Harris Sealmaster bearings protectedNew corrosion-resistant SealMaster CR bearings from Cross & Morse feature polymer-coated housings and application-proven sealing elements to provide protection. Available as pillow blocks in two and four bolt flange configurations and as flange bracket units, they are offered with bore sizes from 3/4in to 2in. Flange bracket versions have maximum bore 1 7/16in. Bearings in the range can be supplied in standard setscrew versions with patented Skwezloc locking collar design. The housings are coated on all surfaces with a hard polymer material on a molecular binding material and, as standard, they are fitted with rubber contact seals and stainless-steel grease nipples. Features include black oxide races with an extra-wide outer race, zone-hardened ball paths and nylon-coated land riding retainers. They are lubricated with USDA/ FDA compliant lubricants. About
