U.S. Electrical Motors introduces technically advanced ALLGUARD® Motor with electric motor bearings

U.S. Electrical Motors, a division of Emerson Electric Co., introduces its new ALLGUARD® Motor Quality System on all low voltage NEMA frame motors. This unique system combines the industry’s best motor winding protection with the latest advancements in motor bearing lubrication. As part of the new system, the winding on each low voltage U.S. Motor includes the next generation in pulse endurance wire for improved life and higher temperature pulse endurance performance.

The wire features a “Tough Coat” exterior that resists abrasions which can occur during normal winding processes and degrade insulation properties. For greater bond strength and moisture resistance, each winding on all the frame sizes is also treated with 100 percent solids insulation material. The varnish has 700 times the NEMA required humidity resistance and twice the hot bond strength of epoxy varnish. The system also features Exxon Mobil Polyrex EM™ grease for all grease-lubricated bearings. This new and improved lubricant, formulated specifically for electric motor bearings, provides longer life at higher loads and temperatures, has low noise properties and has good low temperature starting capabilities. During a high-temp grease life test, Polyrex EM achieved a lubrication life of more than 700 hours at 177° C – more than four times better than a competitive polyurea grease and more than seven times better than conventional lithium- complex greases. “
