Hybrid Roller Bearings from Saint-Gobain

The MRC hybrid bearings from Saint-Gobain feature silicon nitride rollers finished with roller blanks that the company machines and finishes for its bearings. The bearings are suited for aerospace, commercial and supply applications.

According to the company's press release, these silicon nitride roller bearings achieve higher speeds because of the lower density of silicon nitride. Silicon nitride also offers lower inertia for faster stops and startups.

These ceramic rollers can operate in temperatures up to 750°F and have low conductivity characteristics and a low rate of thermal expansion.
